Katie and Bradley were married in Greenville SC on September 28th. Since they both lived in Columbia, SC, I hadn’t met them until the wedding day. By the time they left their incredible reception, I felt like they were long time friends. They just make you happy to be around them. And while I was editing their highlight, I kept noticing how much love and excitement they had for each other. You’ll see what I mean! Their ceremony was at the beautiful Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Greenville and the reception was at the Wyche Pavillion located on the Reedy River. It is truly a stunning setting for a wedding reception celebration. Music is very important to Bradley and he wanted a good band….so he got one! I’ve have the pleasure of working with Monique and the Mo’Sol Band several times at various east coast locations. It’s a blast every time!
It has been one heck of a wedding season and it’s just about over…all but the editing! Christy and I started the season way back on a cold spring day in Montgomery Alabama. The wedding we were about to film would be one we wouldn’t soon forget. It was very special. It was so special that this morning I decided to share their full short form cinematic movie here. The toasts at the rehearsal dinner gave us some beautiful words to help us tell their story. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Every now and then you get a surprise at a wedding that you just weren’t prepared for! This past weekend was one of those moments for me. This is a reception band like I’ve never seen. The Right On Band is truly spectacular! They performed at the 2009 presidential inauguration and Saturday night they performed for Allie and Edward at my all time favorite wedding venue in the southeast: The Old Edwards Inn in Highlands NC.
I spent several years traveling full time with a rock/showband myself many years ago and I even dressed a bit like these guys. They are a 70′s show band and they do it right. They aren’t just great singers and musicians…they put on one heck of a show.
This 6 minute clip is the start of the band’s show. Enjoy!
What a treat I got while filming the rehearsal dinner for Mary and Russ in Columbia SC. Philip Myers is truly one of the greatest vocalists I’ve heard. He happens to be a good friend of the Mungo family and performed for the rehearsal dinner. I wanted to share a few of his songs because I know how much it means to Russ and Mary and their families. What an honor to be part of that great celebration! Much more to come! Stay tuned!
We just filmed a very special wedding for Maggie and Richard in Linville NC at the beautiful Eseola Lodge. It was incrediblly beautiful with the leaves turning and two families who were clearly thrilled about coming together!
Stay tuned for the highlight coming soon but I wanted them to have a chance to view their very beautiful ceremony since we have that ready. For the sake of file size, I started this with Maggie’s entrance with the bagpiper. Enjoy!
We also thoroughly enjoyed working with Cynthia and AJ of Simply Photo!
Abbey and Andrew were married in Columbia SC on September 21st. We went down on Friday to film their rehearsal dinner and it’s very fortunate that we were there. There were so many memorable toasts but when Andrew stood up at the end to “say a few words” to Abbey everyone in the room could feel the emotion. It’s moments like that that make me realize how important these films are and how their value will only grow through the years. Abbey is the more emotional one but her note to Andrew was clearly very emotion for him too. Abbey and Andrew, you are two very special people and it was such an honor to be there and to create these movies for you. Enjoy this highlight and know there is more to come!
I had the honor of filming Abbey and Andrew’s wedding last weekend in Columbia SC. Everything was incredibly beautiful and emotional. There were a couple moments that really stood out and I’d like to share one of them with you here. This is a gorgeous performance of The Prayer. Enjoy! (much more to come later!)
Stephanie and Ferrante held their marriage celebration at The Loom in Simpsonville SC in June. I think I smiled from the beginning to the end. It was a fun, beautiful, emotional day with beautiful words from from the bride and groom as well as their friends and family. I also smiled and had some tears while I put together their highlight. Enjoy!
I recently worked for the first time at The Loom in Simpsonville SC. I had only met and talked to the director Jeannie Thrailkill briefly before this occassion but when Frank, the father of the groom, spontaneously called Jeannie up to tell the group how much Jeannie had done for them, I was knew exactly what he was talking about! Jeannie is a true professional who cares about her brides and families and every vendor she encounters as well. I captured that moment and wanted to share it. Jeannie, you derserved it! Thank you for everything.
Ryann and Andrew were married in June at The John Knox Presbyterian Church in Greenville Sc with a spectacualar reception at the Wyche Pavillion. I got a call from Ryann’s mother Suzi last fall just minutes before another bride was going to book the date. We’ve talked since then about how lucky that was and how glad we both were that things turned out they way the did. Ryann and Andrew and both of their families have been wonderful to get to know. I felt like family filming the rehearsal dinner Friday night and the wedding Saturday. One of the great things about weddings is that I get to relive the day over (and over and over) while I edit their movies! One of my favorite shots (and in many cases the most difficult to get) is the groom’s reaction to seeing his bride coming down the aisle. Check out Andrew’s reaction to seeing Ryann here…it’s priceless! I get chills every time I see the emotion on his face. Ryann and Andrew, I hope you enjoy reliving your big day through this highlight as you start your new lives in North Carolina!
