Anyone who knows me, knows that I tend to cry at emotional or even somewhat emotional moments. So while editing this particular film, let’s admit that there was a bit of that going on. It’s pretty hard to watch Katie and Ben on their wedding day at the Cliffs at Glassy and not get caught up in their incredible love and excitement. Of course it wasn’t just Katie and Ben…both families and pretty much everyone there was so happy for them. You could feel it all day!
Katie and Ben, thank you. It was an honor to create your wedding film and I will always remember you two and that incredible day on Glassy Mountain!
Erin and Aaron, I can’t thank you enough! What a thrill it was for me to spend that amazing weekend with you and your families in Elizabethtown! It has been such an honor for me to create this wedding film for you! And then to be the first event EVER at the amazing Cape Fear Winery made it even more special. We had so much wonderful footage and emotional moments captured that it was hard to choose! I hope this film is very special to you for many years to come!
Jaclyn and Ross, thank you for trusting us with filming this incredibly important day for you! The love and emotion you showed toward each other was something very special and I hope this film will be a treasure to you for many years to come! This was our first time filming at the beautiful and rustic Grant Hill Farms in Commerce Georgia but we hope to be back! Wow! Very nice
The word was that Jill is intense! 🙂 Well maybe that’s why this whole wedding weekend was intensely emotional and just plain fun! This wedding had a little of everything…from a ceremony on the beautiful Furman campus to the elegant and historic downtown Greenville reception at the Poinsett Club. Jill and Josue thank you so much for allowing me to create this film for you! I had a lot of tough decisions while I put this together because of all the incredible moments I had captured. I’m so glad I’ll be editing your full feature soon! Can’t wait for that!
Kate and Rakan were married at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts in Greenville SC on March 19, 2016. It was a very special location because Kate and her mother Linda are both resident artists at the Art Center! Talk about a personal connection! This wedding was the blending of two special families and cultures and there was some incredible design concepts put in place to achieve that! Keep an eye on that very creative and unique ceremony too!
Kate and Rakan, thank you so much for trusting us with your wedding film!
Fran and David, it’s hard for me to tell you how much I have loved getting to know you both. And then to get the honor of filming your incredible wedding at Brookgreen Gardens…it’s truly something I will remember forever! My challenge in creating your wedding films has been to capture and tell the stories of your authentic passion for each other, your families and your ambitions. I have felt a strong energy for telling your story from the first email I received from you Fran and I can’t wait to get to that feature film soon!
I have had the huge privilege of filming two other Haas weddings and now to see the joining together with the Jolson family is very special. And fortunately we found out that “Mike the Dancer” (formally known as “Mike the Runner”) is NOT too old to still wow the crowd!! Watch for some incredible dance moves! Mike, please stay in shape, they still need one more performance from you!
I can’t imagine a more beautiful setting for a ceremony than the Live Oak Alee at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrell’s Inlet SC. And what a special team we had: Craig and Lindsey of Sposa Bella Photography, Kelly and Kristen and their crew from Walton Event Design, David Hackney and his incredibly helpful group at Brookgreen Gardens and then the awesome band: I Love This Band! I wish we could do it all over again!
Stay tuned! More to come on this one!
Kristin and Anthony…Wow! This was one very special wedding in downtown Greenville SC! These two have quite a story that started a number of years ago. To spend their wedding weekend with them and their families was an honor I will remember for a very long time. With the Huguenot Loft located right on Greenville’s Reedy River, it is one of the most dramatic settings for a wedding reception I’ve seen.
It wasn’t easy trying to fit everything into this 4 minute highlight…and that’s why we’ll be starting on their feature film soon! The team we worked with was off-the-chart fun! Allie and company of I Do Wedding Planning…Sposa Bella Photography…Huguenot Loft…Sol Fusion Band…AMAZING!
Ashley and Andrew were married in downtown Greenville on a beautiful December day with an incredible reception at the Huguenot Loft on the Reedy River. There were tears and emotions at the ceremony and then one heck of a party followed! Those Marines were fun!
Ashley and Andrew, wow what a celebration! It was an honor to be there and to create this wedding film for you. I hope you show this to your children someday so they can understand the love that brought you together.
Andrea and Kyle had a beautiful intimate wedding at one of the most gorgeous wedding venues anywhere. They were surrounded by their closest family and friends and it was just a warm cozy feeling that was amazing!
The reception was also a ton of fun with great music provided by Burke and Clifton of Melonbelly! Great working with you guys!
This entire weekend was incredible…and one I won’t soon forget! Everything was off the chart…from the emotion, elegance and beauty… to the closeness of family… to just plain fun!
Working with Olivia Griffin is always a creative playground! And Meg and Taylor always plan a masterpiece! And of course filming at Furman and the Westin Poinsett Hotel in downtown Greenville SC on a beautiful October weekend is just awesome.
But more than anything, Alexis and Robert are two very special people. I had the honor of filming their proposal (hiding outside the Wyche Pavilion) and then their rehearsal dinner and wedding. It’s hard to not be happy when you are around them. I think this will make you smile and maybe cry a little too.
