Rebecca and Jonathan’s wedding in Simsponville SC was in many ways a tribute to their families. Even their reception location, The Loom at Cotton Mill Place has a historic significance to Rebecca’s family roots. Strong family ties were evident and very much a part of their day. From Rebecca’s family ties to the cotton mill to Jonathan’s love and passion for horticulture, every detail was meaningful. There is always emotion when a father gives his daughter away but in this case Rebecca’s closeness to her father was something extra special. Filming the rehearsal dinner on Friday night gave me the opportunity to capture some of those emotions and include them in this highlight. All of this made a wedding weekend I will remember for a long time.
Rebecca and Jonathan, I was touched by your genuine love for each other and your strong family roots. It was truly an honor to get to know you and create this short film. I hope it will always remind you of a very special day in your lives.
Melissa and Justin were married on a very rainy Saturday in December in Lexington SC. The rain was part of their story and it in no way dampened the emotion of the event! It was a beautiful location and it was filled with the warmth of family and friends. Melissa and Justin, enjoy this highlight while we work on your longer full movie…and thank you so very much for trusting us with this very important event!
Last fall I filmed a wedding at the The Old Edwards Inn in Highlands NC and worked with an artist at the reception named Ronald Bayens. Ron is from Auburn Alabama and we all were in awe watching him paint the reception LIVE! It was incredible. I filmed a time lapse of him painting and we turned it into a piece he now uses to promote his business. I have to say it was an honor to do that for Ron!
Ron’s contact info is at the end of the video and a link to his site is below. You have to see this! Enjoy!
I posted Abbey and Andrew’s wedding highlight a while back and now I’m posting their full cinematic film. Abbey asked if this was online and I said…hold on…it will be!
So here you go Abbey! Enjoy!
Meredith and Stephen were married at the Farm at the Old Edwards Inn in Highlands NC. The families had all made the trip up to the mountains and everything was perfect. It’s always wonderful to work with Craig and Lindsey of Sposa Bella Photography! The Sonic Groove band came up from Atlanta and kept the party going late!
Meredith and Stephen were both clearly so excited and in love. Thank you so very much for allowing me to create this highlight for you!
This was a first for me!! I got to film a real live proposal! Brian proposed to Alicia at one of Alicia’s favorite spots…the Wyche Pavillion in Greenville SC.
I was hidden but had three cameras running as we awaited Alicia’s arrival. Her mom and sister were in on it and made sure she was walking by at the right time!
Pretty special to be able to share this moment with them. I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.
Congratulations Alicia and Brian!! Looking forward to your big day coming up!!
Allie and Edward are one very special couple! I really didn’t know how else to start this post!
And this was one very special wedding weekend. For starters, it was held at what I consider the premier wedding venue in the Carolinas: The Old Edwards Inn in Highlands NC. We filmed the rehearsal dinner on Friday night and the words we captured were priceless. From a storytelling standpoint, I was given some truly golden gems to work with. I used those stories as a thread throughout the highlight. While there were many emotional stories told Friday night, Edward’s words about his late grandmother brought tears to everyone’s eyes.
Allie is now my forth Ole Miss bride…and all four are sorority sisters! They are also four of my favorite couples ever. It’s always so exciting to see them again after their weddings.
It was also great to get to know Genya of Vue Photography. We were both so excited about the location and the incredible families we were working with.
There was something else super special at their reception. We were all blown away by Ronald Bayens as he did a live painting of the reception. What an incredible idea! I did a time lapse movie of his painting that I’ll post soon.
The Right On Band was off the charts! I spent several years playing drums and traveling with a similar band in my earlier days and I can tell you that they are truly something special!
Allie and Edward, please know that I will never forget your incredible weekend and I was touched by you, your families and the entire experience.
Mary Mungo and Russ Dubisky had a spectacular wedding weekend in November 2013 in Columbia South Carolina. It was truly an honor to spend two days with their families and friends. Every moment was special…from the rehearsal dinner atop the Capital City Club…to the wedding day preparations at the family home on Lake Murray…followed by a wedding ceremony at one of the most beautiful and dramatic cathedrals we’ve ever seen..and of course the late night party at the Art Museum in downtown Columbia. Choosing the moments and words for this short highlight was quite a challenge! So Mary and Russ, enjoy this highlight while we work on your full cinematic film…and thank you so very much for trusting us with this very important event!
Amy and Shane were married at one of the most dramatic locations in the Carolina’s – The Reserve at Lake Keowee, in South Carolina. It was late October and the surrounding mountains were in were in full glory! There were tears of joy everywhere…and that really gets me excited for both the shoot and the edit! These are truly two families who were rejoicing this marriage. It was truly and honor just to be there. Amy and Shane, I hope this short film will be something you revisit often to bring back all the love and joy that you all experienced
Jackie and Ashur were married at the Old Edwards Inn in Highlands NC in September, 2013.
The Old Edwards Inn is my all-time favorite wedding venue and it was an incredible day with lots of fun and emotion. Their first look in the orchard was especially beautiful.
It was also great to work with Jeremy of Harwell Photography. We’ve worked together a couple of times at the Old Edwards Inn and it is always fun. He is incredibly talented.
