Nicole and Justin’s wedding was held at the breathtaking Starrsville Plantation on a beautiful spring day. You enter the 750 acre plantation down an Oak Tree lined driveway and that is just the beginning. It was such an honor to be there to capture the moments and to tell their beautiful and emotional wedding story. Nicole is quite a detail oriented person and everything was perfect and at the same time it was relaxed and very family oriented. I had to include some of my all-time favorite kid shots in this highlight! There was a threat of rain but in the end, it held off and the outdoor ceremony under the trees and the party under the tent with the Bobby Compton Band were a huge success. The evening was capped off with a fireworks exit. Nicole and Justin, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your incredible day. I won’t soon forget it.

This was just an incredibly fun, emotional and enjoyable wedding day. It was at the top of Bearwallow Mountain in Hendersonville NC on a beautiful spring day. Okay, maybe it was just a tad windy, but that didn’t seem to bother anyone. Watching Matt’s face while Johanna was approaching for their first look and then the tearful joy they shared at that moment was priceless. I typically cut clips pretty fast in my highlights, but I stretched those shots out and you’ll see why.
Their theme was horses and the Kentucky Derby, complete with the hats and the actual running of the Derby during the cocktail hour.
The team we worked with that day was one of the best ever. If you’re planning a wedding you might want to check out the list below. They were all incredible to work with!
Matt and Johanna, thank you so much for allowing us to share in your day. I hope this short film will be special to you for many years to come.
Melanie and Nolan celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Ivy Hall at the Rosswell Mill on a gorgeous spring day on the river in Roswell Georgia! What an honor it was to spend the day with those two and their families. They decided to do a first look which is always a special event to capture on video. That was followed by a photo and video session on the covered bridge over the river and then back to Ivy Hall for their beautiful ceremony. They did something I’ve never seen before…they planted a peach tree using soil from each of the family homes. Now that is a pretty strong statement about both their family backgrounds and the family that are beginning. Just beautiful.
Working with the photographers Anne Almasy and Erin was a blast and so great to work with them again. Thank you Anne and Erin!!
And The Stephen Lee Band was incredible! Atlanta has a real gem in those guys. Every musician in that band is outstanding and you should check them out for your wedding for sure!
Rebecca and Jonathan’s wedding in Simsponville SC was in many ways a tribute to their families. Even their reception location, The Loom at Cotton Mill Place has a historic significance to Rebecca’s family roots. Strong family ties were evident and very much a part of their day. From Rebecca’s family ties to the cotton mill to Jonathan’s love and passion for horticulture, every detail was meaningful. There is always emotion when a father gives his daughter away but in this case Rebecca’s closeness to her father was something extra special. Filming the rehearsal dinner on Friday night gave me the opportunity to capture some of those emotions and include them in this highlight. All of this made a wedding weekend I will remember for a long time.
Rebecca and Jonathan, I was touched by your genuine love for each other and your strong family roots. It was truly an honor to get to know you and create this short film. I hope it will always remind you of a very special day in your lives.
Melissa and Justin were married on a very rainy Saturday in December in Lexington SC. The rain was part of their story and it in no way dampened the emotion of the event! It was a beautiful location and it was filled with the warmth of family and friends. Melissa and Justin, enjoy this highlight while we work on your longer full movie…and thank you so very much for trusting us with this very important event!
