Way back in high school, Trent asked Grace to go on a jog with him to help cheer her up. It’s amazing how one small event can change people’s lives forever. These two have a beautiful story and I had the honor of hearing it and experiencing the culmination of their long path leading up to May 18th, 2013. We filmed their rehearsal dinner and captured so many beautiful words and stories about them and their special relationship. Finding the right music for a highlight is always so important and in this case, when I heard “Take it All In” by Trent Dabbs, I knew I had a song that matched the soft emotional love that these two share. Grace and Trent, thank you so very much for trusting us with your wedding movie. It has been a wonderful experience and creating your full cinematic film with be super exciting!
My wife Donna and I were fortunate enough to get to spend time with the Hartness family and Tara and Chris weeks before the wedding. We spent an afternoon getting to know them while doing some video interviews and shooting for a special love story movie we’re making for them. They have been separated due to Chris being stationed in North Carolina and Tara teaching and studying for her doctorate here in Greenville. They truly cherish every moment they get to spend together so you can imagine how special their wedding day was to them! They had a spectacular ceremony at the Prince of Peace church followed by an elegant and fun reception at the Poinsett Club in Greenville SC. How incredibly special it was to have the hometown Edwin McCain and his band playing and singing their first dance! And what a team of vendors we got to work with…Josh Jones Photography…Christine Faust…Edwin McCain (wow)…The Glow Band…The Poinsett Club…and my good friend James Player was even there to help shoot. It was very very special day and one I won’t soon forget! Tara and Chris’ families couldn’t have been warmer.
Thank you so much Tara and Chris! Enjoy!!
A year ago I got a call from Emily asking if I would be available for her 2013 wedding in Alabama (or Tennessee…she wasn’t sure at that point!). Christy and I had a wedding coming up in Mississippi and we were passing right through Birmingham so we arranged to meet with Emily and Cole. As it turned out, we were a great match and we couldn’t have felt more honored to film their rehearsal dinner and wedding in Montgomery in April. Emily had also booked our great friend’s Craig and Lindsey Mahaffey of Sposa Bella Photography, also from the Upstate of SC, so talk about fun! The wedding took place in the Riverfront area of downtown Montgomery. The weekend was filled with warm, emotional, beautiful moments…as well as spectacular fireworks, music, entertainment and just plain good ole southern fun! For the highlight I was torn on which direction to go for the music choice…do I go with a softer more emotional sound track to fit the tearful emotion or a more upbeat fun choice? I decided to do both. Emily and Cole, thank you so very much for treating us like family while we were there…and for trusting us with this very important story. It has been truly and honor.
Julie and Gordon were married at The Lace House on the grounds of the Governor’s Mansion in Columbia SC on a beautiful crisp fall day in November. It was such an honor to be part of their day. They were surrounded by their closest family and friends. The Lace House home and grounds were spectacular! It was the perfect setting for their intimate wedding. Gordon and Julie wanted to write and read notes to each other and there are some touching excerpts in this highlight. Julie and Gordon, thank you so much for allowing me and Chisty to film your beautiful day.
It was a joy to work with Kathy Moore Powell of Moore Photography.

When I first met Carrie she was so excited about the video Alex had made of his proposal to her. As we watched it I knew that her wedding movie was going to be very important to her! I get extra energy from knowing that and Christy and I had such a great time filming their wedding and experiencing everything with them. It was exciting and moving to be part of their day. It was both emotional and just plain fun! Carrie and Alex, thank you so very much! Enjoy the highlight and your movie won’t be far behind!
It was also a pleasure to meet and work for the first time with Rachel Hughes of Rachel Hughes Photography
